Malindo to resume Kochi service; Offers faster connection to Australia

Malindo Air; a Malaysian hybrid-full service carrier is resuming services from Kochi Airport from 1st August. Malindo will operate three days a week from Kochi to Kuala Lumpur. The services are arranged in such a way that Malindo's connecting flight to Perth, Australia is available in just one and a half hours.
Currently, Air Asia (Berhad) flight is operating daily in Kochi -Kuala Lumpur sector. Malindo flight will depart from Kochi at 00:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from August 1. The flight will arrive at Kuala Lumpur at 0705 AM. There is a connecting flight to Perth at 08:25 which will land at Perth at 1410 hrs. The flight to Kochi departs from Kuala Lumpur at 2135 on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The airline is also planning to start daily operation in Kochi-Kuala Lumpur sector from September 1. The airline has already started booking.
S. Suhas, Managing Director, CIAL said that many new services are expected as part of increasing connectivity to The Far East. “Currently there are daily services to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. There are two weekly services to Bangkok. Weekly services to these areas will increase by August. Attempts have been made for starting direct connectivity to Australia. As the first phase, Malindo's service will now be launched with minimum connection time’’ added Suhas.
CIAL hopes to add more services to Europe and East Asia in the winter schedule starting from October.
