Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL), in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), will organise a Disaster Management Equipment Exhibition at the T3 Arrival Area (City Side) on January 12 as part of its disaster preparedness and public awareness efforts.
The exhibition is intended to familiarise the public with disaster management procedures, emergency response mechanisms, and specialised equipment used during disaster situations, while also highlighting coordination among various response agencies.
Live displays and demonstrations of disaster response equipment will be presented by CIAL’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), and Public Sector Undertakings.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and passengers, visitors, and airport users are encouraged to visit the venue and gain an understanding of the safety systems and emergency response practices in place at the airport.
