The renovated and relocated Kalangan, The Kerala Art Arcade was inaugurated at the Domestic Terminal of Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). Located near Gate 7 in the Domestic Security Hold Area, the cultural space enhances the terminal interior with traditional art installations reflecting Kerala’s rich artistic heritage. The initiative has transformed an unused area into a vibrant art ensemble corner, adding visual appeal and cultural depth to the passenger experience. The installation features a temple-inspired setting with a depiction of Duryodhanavadham Kathakali, along with representations of prominent Kerala art forms such as Theyyam, Chakyar Koothu, Nangyar Koothu, and Ottamthullal, among others. The facility was inaugurated by S. Suhas, Managing Director, CIAL, in the presence of Jayarajan V, Saji K. George Executive Directors, Saji Daniel, CFO, Manu G, Airport Director, P. Rajasekhar, Consultant for the project, and senior department heads of CIAL. Since its inauguration, Kalangan has been drawing strong interest from passengers and is fast emerging as a popular photography spot within the terminal.
