- Star Air to commence operations from COK to/from BLR 4 days a week
- Akasa & Indigo to operate daily flight to Navi Mumbai
Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) announced its winter schedule which will be effective from 26th October 2025 till 28th March 2026. A total of 1520 weekly operations are the highlight of this schedule against 1454 operations for the ongoing summer schedule 2025.
CIAL’s winter schedule will see 27 airlines, among which 25 are international carriers operating 341 weekly departures to international destinations. IndiGo tops the list with 49 weekly departures to international destinations whereas Air India Express will have 47 departure operations weekly. Etihad – 28, Air Asia –21, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi – 18, Akasa-17, Air India, Air Arabia, Emirates, Oman Air, Singapore Airlines – all 14 weekly services,Kuwait airways, Qatar Airways ( 11 each), Saudia, Thai Air Asia ( 10 each), Spice Jet, Srilankan, Malaysia Airlines ( 7 each), Jazeera(5), Fly Dubai, Gulf Air, Island Aviation, Viatjet, Malindo(4 each), Thai Lion air (3) are other prominent carriers operating frequent weekly services. There will be 67 weekly departures to Abu Dhabi alone. Whereas Dubai comes second with 45 operations from Cochin. Other key destinations include Doha (38), Kuala Lumpur (32), Muscat (25), and Sharjah (21). Singapore sees 14 weekly flights, Male 11, Bangkok 10, Jeddah and Riyadh 8 each, while Bahrain, Colombo, Dammam, and Ras Al Khaimah have 7 weekly operations each. Ho Chi Minh City has 4, and Phuket 3 weekly flights. Overall, the airport’s winter schedule emphasizes stronger connectivity across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf region. Air Asia plans to increase the frequency of operations from 11 to 21 per week. Air India will re-instate the Doha sector, and Akasa commences daily flights to Dammam.
Coming to the domestic sector, weekly flight status in CIAL’s 2025 winter schedule includes 86 flights to Bangalore, 69 to Mumbai, 63 to Delhi, 47 to Chennai, 61 to Hyderabad, 14 flights to Agathi, 13 to Ahmedabad, 14 to Pune, 7 each to Calicut, Goa, Kannur and 5 to Salem. Additional 2 services by IndiGo to Thiruvananthapuram will commence, strengthening regional connectivity. As per the new schedule, an IndiGo flight from Kannur will land at Kochi at 9:40 AM. This will serve to Kochi – Thiruvananthapuram (COK-TRV) sector twice a day. The departing time from COK to TVM will be 10:00 AM & 3:50 PM. The flight departs from TRV to COK at 1:00 PM and 7 :20PM. This winter, Cochin Airport welcomes expanded connectivity as Star Air will launch four weekly services on the Kochi–Bengaluru sector; Akasa Air will begin daily operations to Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai; IndiGo will enhance its network with daily flights to Navi Mumbai; and SpiceJet will commence daily services to Chennai and Hyderabad. This results in a total of 682 arrivals and 838 departures each week, encompassing both international and domestic services, respectively.
